Here only a water wheel operates a mill and a saw - unique in the Black Forest. In the past there was even a cable drive system as the third element to transmit power to the Jockeleshof 300 m away (but removed when the Höllentalbahn was built in 1886).
Water collection from the raised bog in the reservoir. Fully functional restored after decay in 1996-98

Hiking

The Jockelishof is listed as a cultural monument of Hinterzarten: farm with main building built in 1704, chapel and saw with flour mill. At first only grain was probably ground, and later - in the 19th century - a saw was also operated.
