The Ebersberg was probably first built during the Staufer period at the beginning of the 12th century. The von Ebersburg family died out in the 15th century. After a fire in the castle, the Schöntal monastery built a castle in its present form around 1720. After the monks left around 1786, the castle and estate fell to Württemberg.
From the castle you have a wonderful view of the Backnang Bay.
