Koberg was first mentioned in 1230. The place was owned by the Hanseatic City of Lübeck for a long time. Due to the comparison of 1747 in Hanover, the place fell to the Duchy of Lauenburg. Until 1770 the community had its own chapel belonging to the parish of Nusse. From 1889 Koberg was the seat of the district of the same name. After the dissolution of the administrative districts and the formation of the offices in 1948, the municipality belonged to the Office Nusse, which was added to the Office Sandesneben-Nusse in 2008.
