This park is in the Glengarry neighbourhood and has an area of 8.77 ha. The name was in common usage before the Names Advisory Committee approved it. Glengarry replaced the older subdivisions of Sunalta and Namayo Park, which had existed from as early as 1912. Glengarry, meaning "a rough water glen," was named after a glen in Invernesshire, Scotland.
