      A Marian pilgrimage site, the Notre-Dame du Schauenberg Chapel takes place in Pfaffenheim in the Grand Est. Originally built in the 15th century, it was enlarged in the 16th century before being completely rebuilt in the late 17th century.

      After serving as a rest home for the elderly or sick brothers, the monastic buildings underwent a major restoration in the 20th century.
