Vest Stadil Fjord Nature Trail

Beautiful landscape and nature, no doubt, only the condition of the road makes driving quite difficult. Usually you sink quite deep into a thick layer of spherical pebbles.

Beautiful path along the Vest Stadil Fjord. Halfway through the route, Bjerg Thomsens Hut invites you to watch the birds from there. It is worth taking binoculars with you. We were here in June and could also see a variety of flowering plants and a herd of cows grazing in a huge area.Vest Stadil Fjord was drained in the 1950s and the land gained was used for agriculture until the 1990s. In 1994 the state bought a large part of the area, and at the end of 1990 it was renatured. Today the fjord is a preferred area for wild geese and waders.

Some of the paths here are good, but others are unfortunately difficult to navigate by bike.
