Mitterbach train station – this is one of the many stops along the Mariazellerbahn (Mariazell Railway). The station is a perfect starting point for numerous hikes in the Ötscher Tormäuer Nature Park (for example, the Gemeindealpe is about an eight-minute walk from the chairlift valley station, and the Staplerhaus (the Ötschergräben entrance) is about 15 minutes away).
