Stunningly beautiful sight.. but you have to go to the farthest corner of the lake for that... but if you're here with the little ones... keep an eye on them..it's not a playground

Due to the former quarry operation on the Silbersee, some rock faces with basalt formations can be admired here. Probably the most famous natural basalt column formation is located in walking distance on the Gangolfsberg and should definitely be seen when visiting the region.
