Cycling

The people in the Bavarian Forest used to be very poor. In order to save money, the dead were laid out on boards, the so-called death boards, and then buried without a coffin. The death boards were then labeled with the dead person's dates and partly painted and decorated. In memory of the deceased, they are still in their favorite spots or other beautiful places today.
