The marble head of Alexander the Great on display in the museum was probably made between 325 and 300 BC. It shows the impetuous Macedonian king who was born here in Pella. He lived from July 20, 356 until his death in Babylon on June 10, 323, almost 33 years. From 336 until his death he was King of Macedon and Hegemon of the Corinthian League. A fierce warrior, spiritually trained by Aristotle.

This arrangement existed in Pella even before the wall paintings known from Pompeii. This is proof that this technology was not developed in Italy but in Greece.
