With the leisure facility "Ulsteraue" a wonderful local recreation facility has been created in the middle of Geisa. From the Ulstertal cycle path you come over the new bridge to the sunbathing lawn. Here, pure relaxation is the order of the day.

The Ulsteraue east of the city center now represents a very valuable natural area between the city on the mountain spur and the neighboring peaks of the Rhön. To achieve this, buildings and workshops of a former Plasta factory were demolished on an area of approx. 1.3 hectares .
