Hiking

In May, popularly known as the "Merry Month", which is especially dedicated to the Mother of God in the church calendar, the Meckenheim parishes held the "Mai-Way" campaign as a small pilgrimage: The stations in the forest cemetery (Merl), the "Red Cross" and this Marien-wayside shrine connected to a circular path. The visitors were invited to decorate the small birch with colorful ribbons. We are happy to recommend this action for repetition and imitation.
