Along the gorges of Méaudret, you have the choice between several routes. There's the road, or it's the ViaVercors that best suits bikes with wider, gravel-oriented tires. The ViaVercors passes on both sides of the road, sometimes on raised pavements, sometimes on dirt roads.

Weaving across the main road and the river through the steep-sided rock gorges of Méaudret, the ViaVercors is a serene traffic-free experience up to Autrans through these jaw-droppingly scenic gorges.

I prefer the road option, but the Gorges cannot be compared to the Bourne Gorge that follows.
