Maria Refugie is a monastery of Birgittine nuns in Uden that was founded in 1713 by the sisters who came from the abbey of Coudewater near Rosmalen.

After the Crosiers were expelled from 's-Hertogenbosch in 1629, they tried to settle in Schijndel, but their functioning was also made impossible there. In 1639 they therefore moved to Uden in the Land of Ravenstein, where Catholic religious practice was not hindered.

Initially they lived on a farm in Vorstenburg, where construction of a monastery began in 1652. When they started serving the Chapel of Our Lady ter Linde, the distance from the monastery to this place was difficult. That is why they built a new monastery in 1697, which was put into use in 1700. The old monastery was sold in 1711 to the Birgittines of Coudewater, led by Abbess Theodora de Haen, who were afraid that their monastery would be closed down.
