Unfortunately, no one cares about the formerly beautiful circuit. Meanwhile, this is even locked and you have to make your own way through the undergrowth. Too bad, but the more you do, the sooner a new path will emerge.

The Wolfersgrün Dam was actually built as a preliminary dam for the Crinitztalsperre, which was not built. It supplied Zwickau with drinking water until the early 1990s. The dam was renovated in 2011/12. The air side received what is known as partial bracing. This means that the stones cannot be removed, but the layer is permeable to water and friendly to small animals. The last descendants of the dinosaurs in small format are at home at the dam - the sand lizards. The piles of stones erected at the foot of the air side along the stream were made as "replacement homes" for the sand lizards during the construction work, but also offer protection to many other animals such as the slow worm.

The Wolfersgrün dam is a small dam near the Kirchberg district of Wolfersgrün, south of Zwickau in Saxony.

It was built between 1951 and 1954 to supply drinking water to the Zwickau area and was actually intended as a pre-dam for a larger dam that was never built. After the withdrawal of drinking water was stopped in 1998, it still serves to a minor extent for flood protection.

The barrier structure is an earth embankment dam with a core seal made of clay.

The dammed waters are the Crinitzer Wasser and the Hirschfelder Wasser.
