Maria Hilf was for school. Development A.s a central institution: in 1838 the monastery took over the girls' lower school and the work school, 1853 the girls' high school, 1866 the newly opened girls' secondary school. From 1870 to 1973, Maria Hilf ran an internal institute for girls. In 1892 the new Klaus school for girls was opened on the monastery site, which was renovated and later expanded in the course of the 20th century. In 1968 the convent comprised 40 sisters, in 1993 there were still 22.
