The gentle ascent to the Belchen over the old military road is one of the epicurean sections of this tour for me in every season. When you get to the top, be sure to park your bike and don't miss the remaining 49 m on foot via the stairs to the Belchenfluh. From there you have a wonderful all-round view of the Alps and, in the north, of the Black Forest.
