Many benches invite you to linger and you have a wonderful view of the water. Playgrounds for the kids are great.

The promenade was only completely redesigned a few years ago. There are many good restaurants and cafes.
There are also many benches that invite you to linger

Here is also the jetty, where a ship returns to Langscheid every hour at half past one (Good Friday - end of the autumn holidays).
A new promenade was built in Amecke as part of the 2013 Reginale. It forms the successful counterpart to the promenade in Langscheid. Thus the Sorpesee is not only the deepest but also the most beautiful reservoir in the whole area and definitely worth a trip.

Great landscaped promenade with many small restaurants and seating.
Pier from the ship for a tour on site.

The sorpe is always great, regardless of the season. Whether jogging, hiking, biking, inline skating, on the water, archery, volleyball ect or even to eat

At Sorpesee you can hike on the reservoir basin (3.6 km) as well as directly around the lake (20 km). We found the way to the dam wall very nice, you can take both the bank and the forest path. However, the way back over the west bank is only partially recommended, as it only leads along the road.
