The first church was around 1200, a burial church of the Knights Templar. It was demolished because it was in disrepair and a new church was built in 1703, which was also demolished. In 1850 today's church was built from bricks. This also had a tower that was demolished after war damage. Today the belfry is next to the church.

In 1949 an organ was added. In 1997 the church was completely renovated.
