In various travel literature the Frederikenwäldchen is described as authentic; furthermore there is supposed to be an "ooster plantation", a "sundew" and a "sparrowhawk forest", the names of which seem somewhat doubtful to me so far.
The Frederikenwäldchen is verifiably planted as a dune protection in the late 1800s
The other small wooded areas, also made up of birch, mountain ash, holm oak and black pines, are of a more recent nature and developed around the wooded area dedicated to Princess Frederike von Oldenburg and Cumberland around 1865.

Perfect for enjoying the silence and being able to swim in the forest. When the temperature rises, walking barefoot on the soft sandy soil is a must. There is no place better to stroke your feet. 🙋🏼♀️🐕
