Aircraft Bunker (Objekt Buna) near Mostar

These bunkers are definitely worth the visit! However, watch your tires: the ground around the free entrance is covered in debris.

An aircraft cavern (FlKav) is a fortress of the Luftwaffe on a military airfield. This is based on a network of tunnels and connecting tunnels. These have been expanded into a complex of underground hangars. The facility is primarily used for sheltered underground accommodation of combat aircraft with the highest possible degree of protection.

Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish and shards lying around, as well as stripped cable insulation. With the bike you have to be careful not to go flat. At the entrance to the right is a gate, someone is storing empty pallets and crates of vegetables in the tunnel... it's easy to get around by bike or on foot.
