The parish was first mentioned in 1161. In the following centuries the church suffered from fires and wars. However, it was able to preserve some historical treasures, especially from the Neo-Gothic period and also from the 16th century, and is now renovated.

In the right side panel of the confessional there is a window in the floor where you can see down to the leg call - supposedly empty, what you see is equipped with different color lights and sensor.

Welcome to the parish church of Hainfeld, which is located on the pilgrimage route "Via sacra". It is dedicated to St. Andrew and is a place of living faith for many people. Visit us on this virtual page or come personally to spend a few moments in prayer in our magnificent Gothic church or to admire the works of art. 3500 Catholics live in the parish. Lively parish life and happy Christians together. We especially invite you to the Sunday service at 9:00 am, musically framed by the parish choir and the "choir 70". The organ with interesting registers accompanies the singing and is also used for concerts. Family fairs are offered every first Sunday of the month.
Opening hours:
daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
