The 1900 x 1400 m large, heavily reeded Rederangsee lies in the middle of the marshland on the east bank of the Müritz in the core zone of the national park.
There is an observation platform on the north shore of the lake, which is easily accessible from Federow or Schwarzenhof on marked hiking trails by bike or on foot. From the vantage point you can watch waterfowl and, with a bit of luck, a white-tailed eagle while hunting or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
