There are no precise dates about the origins of the church, but remains from the Romanesque period can be found. Two Romanesque window arches on the front of the nave and herringbone-shaped masonry on the back date the building to the period between 1000 and 1250.
The church was first mentioned in writing in 1478. The sacrament shrine in the south wall bears the year 1494.
From the 15th century until 1945, the Counts von der Asseburg family exercised the right of patronage and thus also shaped the style and furnishings of the church.

One way to visit the church is via the tourist information in the museum courtyard, which is diagonally opposite. Tel. 034743 8200.

The parish church is located in the center of Meisdorf. It's a very well-preserved church with a stamp box - a pilgrimage route through Saxony-Anhalt. Unfortunately, it was closed.

The Meisdorf patron church is really worth seeing.
