The Laugardalur is also home to the Iceland Botanical Garden and a pet zoo. Both are destinations for Icelandic families as well as for foreign guests. At the end of the visit you can relax in the Laugardalslaug.

Nice green area in the middle of the city. Always nice, if you visit the botanic garden or just enjoy a break on the grass. The bikeroute crosses through it, but expect people walking on it and take it a bit slower.
