On the banks of the River Ribble and close to the border with North Yorkshire, Paythorne is a lovely Lancashire village. It is on the route of the Ribble Way, a long distance trail that follows the great river from the sea to its source, high in the Dales. You can find accommodation at the 18-century Buck Inn, as well as an evening meal. Adjacent to the village is the extensive Ribble Valley Country & Leisure Park, which boasts many holiday homes and facilities.
