The Gasserhütte is the central and ideal starting point for all tours to the Villandrer Alm. In addition to the car, the location is also very easy to reach by public bus from Chiusa and Villanders.
The term "hut" is also somewhat misleading. It is more of a mountain inn with a very nice terrace, restaurant and rooms furnished in the country style for overnight stays.
