Although very over grown Devil's Den is a Scheduled Monument and is also thought to have been held by Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester (who married Joan of Acre).
It may not look like much walking by, but it is very impressive up close and seeing the island inside the moat. If you don't mind walking through the brambles on the edge, you can make it onto the island through the southwest corner.
