Pintschens spring (Lower Sorbian: Pintšowe žrědło) is a small spring declared a natural monument. In the 19th century, the water from the spring was directed to Straupitz Castle, where it was possibly used by the castle brewery, through an approximately 7-kilometer pipe. The line consisted of logs that were about four meters long and drilled through. Since there is only a seven-meter gradient on the route, the engineering work associated with the construction of the line is considerable. A piece of the wooden pipe is exhibited in Straupitz today.
