Former soldiers of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army and their families were housed in this barracks camp from 1951 onwards. The camp was closed in 1972.
The artist is Kokke Weerstand. A steel arch symbolizes a barracks containing the silhouettes of people. Beneath the arch lies a boulder with a model of the former camp on it.
