Unfortunately, Komoot often sends you here on the B257, which is almost like a motorway. In addition, the remaining section of the B257 is often heavily frequented by cars in / from the Ahr valley. The bypass has little or no traffic (country roads with little traffic and asphalt dirt roads). However, the asphalt up to Kalenborn (from Schönberg) is in very bad condition, but can still be ridden by racing bike.

The first section up the slope near Kalenborm next to the model airfield has a very bad surface. Unsuitable for racing bikes. After crossing the B257, this detour is great!
