The pavilion with the fountain in front of it commemorates the 725th anniversary in 2015.
Röhrigshof is a district of the market town of Philippsthal (Werra) in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg.
The village is west of Philippsthal. The Werra flows north of Röhrigshof. The federal highway 62 runs between the river and the village. The railway tracks of the disused Hersfeld circular railway run in the same direction. The area around Röhrigshof is characterized by the mining of potash and salt by K + S.
The village is mentioned as early as the 13th century under the place name Rorehes. The name changed several times: Rorehes, Roeres, Reres, zum Röres, Röhreß, Röhrich, Hof Röhrigs and Röhrigshöfe to today's Röhrigshof.
