The Faulegrund iron ore mine was never really in production. Here investigations were only carried out in a 3-Lachter (approx. 6 m) deep shaft, from which a 1-Lachter (approx. 2 m) long section was driven. There were no other activities. You can still see the filled shaft with part of the excavation next to it in the ground.
