Red Pike is a 2,710-foot (826 m) mountain in the Western Lake District that sits between Yewbarrow to the south and Scoat Fell to the north. It falls along the classic Mosedale Horseshoe - a brilliant hill walking route from Wasdale. I visited in May 2021 when there was snow on the ground.

Red Pike stands at 826m (2710ft) and falls into the main summits catergories of: Wainwright, Nuttall, Hewitt, Birktt, Fellranger. It forms part of the Mosedale Horseshoe route, being the penulitmate summit on the long final stretch between Scoat Fell and Yewbarrow. It gives exceptional views across to Great Gable, Sca Fell and Scafell Pike.

Red Pike is a UK designated Nuttall and is one of two Red Pikes in the Lake District. A great hill to do as part of the Mosedale Horseshoe.
