Emkendorf, the more than 250-year-old, listed linden and chestnut avenue leads directly to the manor house "Gut Emkendorf" with a wonderful park and historical courtyard. At the turn of the 18th century, Emkendorf was one of the most important cultural sites in northern Germany. The great poet Matthias Claudius, author of the famous evening song "The moon has risen", always drove through this wonderful avenue on his many visits to Emkendorf.
