Besler Gipfel

From the summit of the 1,679 m high Besler you have a great view of Oberstdorf and the Allgäu Alps!👌

The view of nature around the Besler is really great from up here - assuming the weather is good and the air is clear. You can also choose a climbing variant next to the "normal" hiking variant.

A 60 m long easy via ferrata category A / B with a wire rope as a security through the 50-60 m high north wall.- Ability to be sure-footed and free from vertigo.

Short but sometimes steep hike to the Besler summit. A short climbing passage must be mastered immediately before the summit, which requires a head for heights. But you can also go around an alternative. Basically, I recommend going up the short via ferrata that we walked without equipment.
Made the besler "with typical Allgäu drizzle". The view of the Riedbergpass and the Illertal was of course not that great ...

Very nice route also for a half-day tour, very good view of the Allgäu and the Alpine foothills in this corner. Also possible with a large group, as there is plenty of space to pause and enjoy the view.

From the summit of the Besler - to be reached via a via ferrata or a footpath - you have a great view of the extensive Allgäu with its guardian, the Grünten, as well as the mountains of the Walsertal. There are boulders on the summit itself, which gives it a special charm.

The via ferrata is short, about 20m🙁 In nice weather, the view is great 👍
