Of Byzantine style, it dates back to the year 549: it is the oldest matrix church in the whole Acquacheta valley, it is about 1 km from Terra del Sole.

Of the original construction, there remain some arches of the central nave supported by corner pillars, an ancient baptismal font adorned with three rostrums, traces of frescoes and a sarcophagus font.
