Picturesque waterfall on the Alferello stream, north-east of Alfero, which owes its name to the abundant presence of trout in its waters.
The waterfall, about 32 meters high, is due to the geo-morphological characteristics of the area ....
.... Before falling, its waters flow over a large sandstone bank, about 2.30 meters high, compact and hard, more resistant to erosion than the underlying part, thus creating the "jump".
After the waterfall, the stream flows for about ten meters flat and then descends through a series of beautiful erosion pots, one of which - very deep - is called by the locals "the well".(Source: fumaioloturismo.it/luoghi-di-interesse-naturalistico)

It is an enormous sandstone boulder perfectly split into two parts which silently and imposingly watches over the flow of the Alferello rivertaken from: alfero.net/sasso-spaccato
