The highest measured water depth is 12 m, but in summer only 7.50 m on average, in winter 5.50 m on average. The accumulated water surface is a maximum of 125 ha with a lake length of 3.6 km. The Kinzigtalsperre holds up to 7.2 million cubic meters of water.
