There is not much to see of the castle ruins, a few walls of the upper castle are still standing and are freely accessible. The lower castle is largely privately owned and cannot be entered. Below the castle ruins is a very nice vantage point that offers a great view over Osternohe and the surrounding area. You should definitely stop by here, sit down and enjoy the stunning view while taking a break on the bench.

    Hiking

Nice place for a break with a view, in good weather you can enjoy the distant view over Franconia. Unfortunately there is not much to visit from the castle ruins, the lower castle is privately owned and only the stump of the keep and a few remains of the wall can be seen from the upper castle. A display board tells the history of the castle.
