The "Holy Halls" are a 360-year-old beech forest that enjoys cult status among nature lovers and scientists. The 65.6-hectare total reserve is located near the spa town of Feldberg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. One of the oldest beech forests in Germany! Unfortunately, the (old) tree population with mighty beech trees has decreased considerably and there is a lot of dead wood. As a result, the halls have lost some of their charm from ten years ago. At the "Lütt Holthus Forest Museum", experienced rangers offer tours through the Holy Halls!

In pre-Christian times (among others) the Celtic/Germanic peoples considered special places in nature (e.g. woodland with a clearing or very conspicuous individual trees) as sacred places, the term "sacred grove" has been partially preserved. It is possible that these "holy halls" can also be conceptually traced back to such or a similar origin.
