Cycling
The building was originally built as a privately owned power station with a capacity of 300,000 kWh. Only in 1909 did it pass into municipal hands. When the energy demand continued to rise, particularly due to the Velten pottery industry, it was shut down in 1911 and the community was connected to the overland power grid.
