Until 1931, the Buchholzer windmill, which had actually once stood in Bothfeld, was still in operation. Around 1870 she was transferred from there to Buchholz in the Pasteurallee on the Mittelland Canal. Already in 1612 the mill was first mentioned in a document. At that time she was still in Bothfeld "Im Heidkampe" to find. In the Seven Years' War, the mill was burned down by French soldiers and then rebuilt. The Buchholzer mill originally stood in Hanover-Bothfeld and was relocated in 1868 to its current location. Until 1931, the farmers of the area had their grain milled here. Today, the mill is a residential building and can only be visited from the outside.
