The Gumpenried hydroelectric power plant (also known as K.WERK Gumpenried) is a modern run-of-river power plant on the Schwarzer Regen river, completed in 1984 after a construction period of around 14 months. What is special about the plant is that it was completely rebuilt by the KARL Group – including the weir, turbine house, and administration building.
