Hiking
At almost 86 meters, it is one of the highest elevations in Berlin, located on Waßmannsdorfer Chaussee, right on the border with Brandenburg. It is an artificial mountain, piled up from the rubble of the war-torn city. It also served as an inner-city dump from 1954 to 1971. The Berlin city cleaning service dumped around 1.66 million cubic meters of household waste there. Later, the rubble from Potsdamer Platz is heaped up here.
