The descent over the cobblestones of the Scharfenweg is bumpy and the ascent back up is really good for your legs. But you have a picturesque view down at the small, narrow one. At the foot of the Alte Wasserkunst, the wide stone steps down to the Spree offer a good opportunity to rest. With a little luck you can see kingfishers.
