On the homepage of the church district Schleswig-Flensburg you can read: "In the second quarter of the 13th century the nave was built as a rectangular hall, as a chapel perhaps without a choir. Its brick architecture is on the north side with the profiled plinth, two small arched windows (further Window changed), double serrated frieze and, above all, the arched portal with richly structured molded stone frame and old iron-studded door, which was inserted in a protruding frame, is still in good condition. ... The large late Gothic winged altar in the choir was carved around 1500 by an unknown master who perhaps shortly before had the similar reredos in the nearby Steinberg Church. The shrine encloses a crucifixion full of figures, full of life; the twelve apostles stand in the wings under tracery canopies. "
