The charcoal kiln near Thiemitz is rekindled twice a year to preserve customs, the dates can be obtained from the city council Schwarzenbach or the Frankenwaldverein.
The local Köhler are always ready for questions. If you are fast, you can buy the coal there directly, but the demand is high and the coal sold out quickly.
