Arrived at the 6th station, the path begins to become steeper and more demanding. The price for the toilet (300 yen) is a bit cheeky, as it is otherwise 200 yen at other and higher huts. Only at the summit do you have to pay 300 yen again.

The summit of Mt. Fuji. The highest mountain in Japan. A world famous vulcano. Relatively easy to climb if you go slow.
The recommended way of doing it is via Yamanashi Trail, starting from Fifth Station, going halfway up, having dinner and rest in a mountain hut, then make the rest of the climb in the early night.
A headlamp and walking poles is needed. The lava gravel is very soft and deep.
