The monastery church of Løgumkloster is a three-aisled brick basilica, which shows the transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic style due to its long construction period. The Romanesque elements include the arched windows in the east. The rich furnishings of the sacred building go back above all to the 14th to 16th centuries. The altar dates from the 15th century.

Løgumkloster Church was built in the period 1225-1325. Of the 4 original wings, only the east wing (capital hall and dormitory) and the north wing are left today. The Løgumkloster Church is - like the Sorø Monastery Church - one of the most remarkable and beautiful church buildings in Denmark from the Middle Ages.
